Family Dinner

I just LOVE when my big brother and his family comes down from Salt Lake.

We always have a GREAT time.

Especially the kids.

Conner and Cooper are inseparable when they are together.

I kept trying to get Conner to "SING FOR ME."  It was a no go.

I got that face instead.

Just kidding, it's more like pure hysterics.  They always have some goofy joke or funny story.

And, just listening them have conversations - HILARIOUS!

My sweet little CHEESE BALL.  He sees the camera in his face and constantly smiles and yells "CHEESE!"  Love this boy.

This little guy. NEVER. CRIES. He is an absolute doll and the tiniest little peanut ever. He turns one this week, but he is so LITTLE! So sweet and precious is our Little Bruce - ster!

Ward Summer Party

What happens when you put the Elders Quorum in charge of a Summer Ward Party?

 Let me tell ya!

You get a 100 foot Slip N' Slide on a gigantic downhill slab of grass.

Large quantities of kids.

And several Dad's who are kids at heart..

Charlee Boo with Bro. Tueller.  He would toss the kids on his back, take off running and launch himself down the slide.  You can tell by the look on their faces they are having a fabulous time.

Cooper with Bro. Tueller.  Really, he had to be exhausted when he left.  The kids just wouldn't leave him alone.  It was super cute watching them get so excited and have so much fun.

But who says it has to be the kids and dads who have all the fun.

Oh yeah, that's Kellie riding on her honey Shan's back.  I seriously couldn't stop laughing at these two.

Cooper thought it would be fun to start a water war.  With Kellie.  He snuck up behind her and dumped a 5 gallon bucket on her.  I've never seen him take off so fast in his life - and with a smile of complete satisfaction.  Not to long after, all the boys thought it would be fun to attack Kellie with buckets of water.  I personally think they think she's cute - they wanted her attention!

You can't have a summer park party without Popsicles.  I lost track of how many this kid ate.  It seems like there was a never ending stash of those freakin' things.  Every time I turned around he had a different color, enjoying every second of it too.

Coop - you did  AWeSoMe.  We are so lucky to have such an amazing kid.  He congratulated the winners, encouraged those who's cars didn't move so quickly, offered help to the den leaders, and was just oh so happy to be there.  I can't believe how quick you are growing up.  You will ALWAYS be "My Little Man" even though you are turning into quite the young man.  Congratulations on an excellent race!

Sharing

Do you remember growing up always being told "SHARE!"

Well, I am constantly trying to teach the same lesson at my house "SHARE!"

After days and days of "that's mine" and "he took it away" or "Griffin's not SHARING" and "Scoti drank all the juice" or "Jack took the scooter" I begin to question if my kids are slow learners.  Maybe I need to change the word SHARE to SHOOBY or VROOM because really?  They don't give a what.  I am pretty much talking to myself.

Until I wake up the other morning, stumble into the kitchen and see this

Griffin and Jack managed to scoot two bar stools over to the counter, climb up with their blankies, sit down and SHARE a box of crackers with each other. 

Do you see it?  Griffin is handing Jack a cracker!  They are SHARING.

Makes my heart proud!

Griffin is leaning over making sure Jack doesn't need another cracker.  He is taking care of his little Cracker Jack (that's our nickname for Jack)  They are the best of friends.  Griffin loves him so much, he takes care of Jack, teaches him NAUGHTY things, pulls him up the ladder because Jack is just a little bit to small to make it.  Griffin will not go ANYWHERE without his Jack.  Man, I am so lucky to have these little boys.

Don't let this kid fool you with his sweet little innocent half smile...he is full on NAUGHTY!

Kinda like how he shouldn't have been in the pantry getting the crackers??!  And climbing on the stools??!  Oh yeah, and eating crackers before breakfast!?!

 But, we are learning to  SHARE!  WEEHAA!!



Cupcakes & More Cupcakes

I know, I know.  I posted this on my craft blog and facebook, but this is my own little online journal of sorts.  I have to update and keep track of the going on of one's life. 

Along time ago, my older sister and I dreamed about having our own event planning business - weddings, parties, catering.  The whole shebang.  We even thought at one time of opening up a bakery and baking all day.  I mean really, how sweet would that be?  Baking yummy treats and pastries all day?!  Can you say YUM?

Well, after years of talking and dreaming I thought "Why not?"  I can bake.  I can kind of cook.  And yes, I think there is a HUGE difference.  One thing I knew I was good at and I had a talent for was making a divine tasting cupcake look so desirable you had to take a bite.  I know that my Heavenly Father gave me this talent and I needed to put it to use.  Each and every one of us is passionately great at something.  We have been blessed with the ability and have only been asked to develop it, learn from it, and grow from it.  Sounds kind of silly to think I would be saying I have been blessed with a talent of baking a cupcake.  I mean really!?  Can't we all make a cupcake?  Truth be told... I can't bake bread to save my life.  Those who can bake delicious bread have talent in my book.

So, here I am.  Baking. Creating. Building.

I built the cupcake "tree" to fit into the bride's wedding theme.  The cake was dark chocolate with coconut butter cream.  Fresh orchids adorned the cake matching the bride's bouquet.  The four cupcake flavors were: Chocolate Key Lime, Chocolate Coconut, Chocolate Raspberry and Chocolate Almond - sprinkled with white sugar giving each cupcake a touch of sparkle.

The ceremony and reception was at the Ledges - everything was breath taking.  I enjoyed watching the florist put her finishing touches on the centerpieces and the photographer making sure the bride was standing just right. 

It was all so comfortable - like I belonged in this little world and I had my own perfect little spot.

Day at the Park

A few weeks ago we headed up to the park with the Worthington's.  The kids rode on the four wheeler, played on the slides, drove around the pink Jeep, had some lunch, and enjoyed spending time with great friends in the beautiful weather.

Many of you have heard me talking about "The Wedding!" I had the opportunity to plan a wedding with a few friends. I will spare you all the boring details and just share the gorgeous pictures. The theme was "Music in the Park."
