Enough Is Enough!

Okay, seriously...enough is enough. We just can't seem to kick this crazy crap that is going around. Two days before we left on our cruise, Charlee woke up in the middle of the night with a temp of 102.9. So, I took her to the doctor the next morning. She of course was sick, ear infection, sinus infection, and the horrible cough that is going around. The Dr. put her on Amoxicillin and sent us on our way. We go on vacation, everything is fine, we get home and Charlee finishes her medicine. Hooray!!!! We are finally on the road to recovery! But oh yeah, JUST KIDDING! Tuesday morning Charlee comes to me and says "Mom, I have SPOTS all over my body!" I immediately start freaking out - I do not want Chicken Pox in this house! So I take pictures and call and make her yet another Dr. appointment!

Day 1 - Pin Point Rash

Day 1 - Pin Point Rash
It is kind of light in these pictures, but you can see the small red spots.
The doctor sees my little lady and tells me that she had an allergic reaction to Amoxicillin! WHAT???? Are you kidding me??? She has been off the medication since Sunday and two days later she breaks out in this crazy rash? He tells me she is not contagious and to give her Benadryl to help with the itching and sends us on our way!
Now it is Wednesday morning and Charlee walks into the kitchen looking like this!!!

Day 2 - Her cheeks and lips are swollen!

Day 2 - She does have her panties on in this picture!
The spots are now starting to merge together, they are BIGGER and more RED!

Day 2 - This is a close up of her arm, but this is what her whole body looks like!

And now, I am beginning to worry! Her lips and cheeks are swelling and by 9:00 a.m. the rash has spread across her chin, down her neck, and up into her ears. I call the doctor worrying her tongue and throat were going to start swelling....that would NOT be good!
We headed into the doctor AGAIN! Since the rash had spread so quickly and badly, they have to give her a steroid to take the rash away! Oh yeah, and if she has difficulty breathing or starts turning BLUE, take her to the Emergency Room immediately!!! (Seriously, do you think I couldn't figure that one out on my own!???!!)
Now, the rash should be gone within 3 days! But for now, I have nicknamed Charlee .... SPOTS!!!
